Today's unexpected joy came easily: the devotion of friends.
My friend Madison Leigh (I wish I knew how to do that thing where her name is underlined and it's a link to her blog) did a little research on a problem I've been having. She put a few bits of information together and connected it to something else and voila! A clue that I can use to try to find some answers.
Thank you, Madison!

Linking is easy but it won't let me show you here - doesn't like the format since I'm not putting an actual URL or anything. (you need an < a href = " url " target = " _ new " > her name < / a > - maybe that will work - no space after the < but a space between the a and href, no spaces between the href, =, " or the actual url, no space between the URL and the ", a space between the " and target, no spaces between target, =, ", _, new, " and >; no spaces between > and the name you want to put in, and no spaces before the < and none in between the <, /, a, and > (this should help - if not, let me know and I'll see how I can get it to you in a format that is readable and understandable -
See now you have some new information to use. E :)
It worked - hope you can understand that all. If not, let me know and I'll fix it up so it is easier to understand - E :)
When you're posting something at blogger, there's a symbol that looks like a globe with a piece of chain link on top of it. If you click on that, it comes up with a window where you can cut and paste the URL for the site you want to link with. Then, at the end, where you see > < / a > you put the title of whatever you're linking to. Whatever is between the two arrows is what shows up.
Anyway, it's basically what elysabeth was saying but you don't have to do the formatting if you use the hyperlink thingie.

Ooh! Something fun to try!
CJ,
I don't have the hyperlink choice. When I post a new entry my only choices are B I U (of course), add a picture, add a video and something else but no hyperlink symbol - so I have to do it the old fashioned way - such is life but it's good to know that some folks do have that option. E :)
Hmm, all I have to do to link something is type the text in the regular message, highlight it, click the little chained up globe, and then type the web address in the box. click "done" or whatever, and voila! I thnk it's the same process, I just never did anything with the a's and <'s.
OK, sorry...thought I could edit the last message but I can't so I have to leave TWO messages... Anyway, I wanted to say that I am honored to be counted as responsible for someone's happy moment of the day. It brings to mind a song by my old friend, Mr. Rogers...but I won't embarrass you by singing it here. I'll wait for NECRWA...
